Alena Singleton

The most beautiful fireworks,

By definition,

Mean that something carefully planned

is destroyed,

Broken open.

Alena Singleton is a queer, brown, disabled, femme poet/writer that lives and loves in NYC. Her creative endeavors are heavily influenced both by her multiple marginalized identities and her scholarly work as a former sociologist; she places equal import on aesthetics and impact in her work, striving for her words to be as personal and political as they are beautiful.
